My name is Chris and I recently graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Lethbridge. In the fall of 2011 I will begin classes at the University of Alberta to study Education. Hopefully one day I will be passing along an interest in politics to unsuspecting students everywhere.
I am somewhat of a news junkie, spending much of my time frequenting news and information sites. The words “Breaking News” get me very excited. By excited I do not mean the thrill of a terribly sad or tragic story, just the rush of a new story breaking to the world. The manner in which news stories are presented to the public often shapes their response, and it is interesting to interpret the message that is being presented.
I have an unabashed love for American politics, specifically aspects of domestic and presidential affairs. Although a close second, I also have a deep patriotic love for Canadian politics as well. The differences between the political culture of Canada and the United States is extremely interesting and provides much of the inspiration behind TheOrdinaryPolitical. One of my biggest enjoyments comes from watching election results. Whether it be a local municipal election, or the election of a new President or Prime Minister, it is by far the most exciting political event for me.
